Beth Schecter specializes in Executive transitions and organizational change management. With a 25 year career committed to the nonprofit sector, and 16 completed interim Executive Director assignments with health, social service and cultural organizations, she has provided oversight and leadership during stressful as well as creative times. She seeks to advance the missions of nonprofits during pivotal transitions using best practices and sustainable approaches in order to prepare the organizations she serves for new leadership and direction. She has guided staff and boards to re-examine their priorities and processes so they can achieve their financial, fundraising, program and governance goals, especially during times of change.

Her Interim ED/CEO work has encompassed founder and long-term leader transitions, crisis situations such as quick departures, short term tenures, and turnarounds. While in permanent positions, Beth served as the Executive Director of four nonprofits in the Bay Area that addressed mental health, addictions, youth development and prevention, violence against women and children, senior services, and parenting programs. She also served as Director of Business Development for WestEd, a national educational lab, and for United Behavioral Health, a national and innovative managed healthcare company. Her early training including planning and evaluation work with Los Angeles County Health Services. Beth completed a Master of Public Health and an MBA in organizational leadership. She is known for her collaborative style and knowledge of organizational structures that lead to good management and high levels of staff performance.
